Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Zamfara State government has finaly given reasons it has not restored telecommunication networks in the rural areas even after the Governor has assured on the restoration.<\/p>\n

DAILY POST had reported that the telecommunication networks would be restored on Monday or Tuesday this week.<\/p>\n

However, the state Commissioner for Information, Hon. Ibrahim Magaji Dosara in a press statement, gave the reasons for the not restoring the telecommunication networks.<\/p>\n

According to the statement, these include the legal procedure of drafting and signing of the executive order permitting the restoration, as well as the survey of the current security situation in each of the fourteen local government areas to ascertain the type of arrangements to be put in place after the restoration of the telecommunications networks.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe request for the restoration from the Minister of Communications and NCC will not restore the telecommunication networks without the security reports and other bureaucratic procedures involved.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe government, therefore, pleads with the good and law abiding people of the state to exercise more patience, as all the processes are on course.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Attorney General and Commissioner for justice has given the assurance that the executive order is almost completed and will soon be forwarded to His Excellency for signing.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the same vein, security situation reports from various communities and local government areas are being compiled for onward submission to the Hon. minister of Communications and digital economy along with our letter of request,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
