Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker of the House of Representatives has assured that the National Assembly will pass the Electoral Act amendment into law.<\/p>\n

Gbajabiamila said the bill will be passed into law once the National Assembly reconvenes from its current recess.<\/p>\n

He gave the assurance during a chat with State House Correspondents after a meeting with President Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.<\/p>\n

According to Gbajabiamila: \u201cWe will do what is right for the Nigerian people.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I made it very clear that we\u2019re not going to throw away the baby with the bathwater.<\/p>\n

\u201cNigerians want it and Nigerians will get it. We may have tarried a little while.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut by the time we come back, at least as far as the House, and I\u2019m sure the Senate as well, will be the first thing on our agenda, the very week we come back from recess.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n
