<\/p>\nA pro-democracy group, Youth Network for Buhari Continuity, has given reason President Muhammadu Buhari was re-elected.<\/p>\n
A joint statement on Friday by Salisu Bala Hassan, National Coordinator and Dr. Nwafor Udochukwu, Secretary, said the retired General won another term in office because Nigerians trust him more than all other contenders.<\/p>\n
Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) defeated Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 23 Presidential election.<\/p>\n

INEC declared President Buhari winner having polled 15,191,847 votes as against Atiku Abubakar\u2019s 11,262,978 votes with a victory margin of 3,928,869 votes.<\/p>\n
The group, while congratulating the electorate, stated that it believed the president would not take their support for granted.<\/p>\n
The statement read in part: \u201cPresident Muhammadu Buhari won in nearly all states in the federation due to the Nigerians\u2019 trust in him.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey don\u2019t want to gamble having seen that a man who loves the common man is doing his best to lift the economy, secure the national and fight corruption.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe wish to say that the massive support across the nation was a confirmation that the people prefer him to continue to lead them to deliver the dividends of democracy.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Next Level has began and the journey continues till 2023. The victory is enough reward for the efforts of the current administration.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe reiterate our unflinching support and deep love for the President Buhari\u2019s people-oriented policies and above all and his love for our great country.\u201d<\/p>\n
The group, however, urged that government activities remained geared toward promoting Buhari\u2019s vision, leadership qualities, transparency, accountability and zeal to root out corruption and the delivery of good and quality governance.<\/p>\n
