Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Former Super Eagles midfielder, Seyi Olofinjana, has given reasons why he rejected a job offer from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).<\/p>\n

He was offered the job of Technical Director by NFF President, Amaju Pinnick.<\/p>\n

After playing for 16 years, Olofinjana went into management and was named loan manager at Wolverhampton Wanderers.<\/p>\n

However, in 2020, Pinnick approached the 40-year-old over the role currently occupied by Austin Eguavoen.<\/p>\n

In an interview with BBC Sport Africa, Olofinjana said: \u201cIt was difficult, but at the same time, easy.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the federation made it easier for me to make that judgement call. There were certain questions I asked of the federation that they weren\u2019t able to answer.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo I regret saying no? Absolutely not. Is there a part of me that thinks it could be a good opportunity for me to go and put myself in the history books and try to help my people? Absolutely! I\u2019m still looking for that opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n
