Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Jigawa State Government has said so far, 49,712,000 out-of-school Fulani children were discovered across the state.<\/p>\n

The Executive Secretary Agency for Nomadic Education, Hajia Ramatu Muhammad, made this knonw while reviewing the activities of the agency in Radio Jigawa Live-Phone in programme monitored by DAILY POST.<\/p>\n

She said a census conducted three months ago by the agency indicated that over 49,712,000 out-of-school children were discovered in 366 Fulani communities.<\/p>\n

Ramatu said the Jigawa State Government has been working hard to bring education closer to the Fulani communities.<\/p>\n

\u201cModalities have been designed for the establishment of mobile schools and learning by radio programme to reach out to the nomads in hard-to-reach areas.<\/p>\n

\u201cState Government has also provided textbooks, uniforms, furniture as well as prompt payment of salaries to teachers to ensure improved teaching and learning process in schools\u201d<\/p>\n
