Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has described Imo West Senator, Rochas Okorocha as his younger brother.<\/p>\n

Uzodinma made the remark while noting that he has nothing against Okorocha, who is a former governor of the State.<\/p>\n

Since assuming office, the relationship between Okorocha and Uzodinma has been frosty.<\/p>\n

On several occasions, Okorocha had accused Uzodinma of witch-hunting his family.<\/p>\n

In December 2021, some police officers had in a gestapo manner, arrested Okorocha\u2019s son-in-law, Uche Nwosu in Imo State.<\/p>\n

Reacting, Okorocha had accused the Uzodinma-led government of being behind the arrest.<\/p>\n

However, Uzodinma said he has nothing against the Senator and former governor of the state.<\/p>\n

Uzodinma spoke at a stakeholders\u2019 meeting held at the State\u2019s Government House in Owerri, the State capital.<\/p>\n

According to Uzodinma: \u201cI have said it times without number I have no personal grouse with anybody. All of you who know me well in Imo state, I tried one time or the other to contest election.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn some cases, I won. In some cases, I did not win. And when I didn\u2019t win, I left back for my businesses. When I won, I served the people with all my heart.<\/p>\n

\u201cOkorocha is a younger brother to me. I\u2019m older than him, if not for anything, traditionally I deserve to be respected by him. I don\u2019t want to join issues with him.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet him just know that he is not the Governor and for the short period I will be here God-willing, he should allow me to be Governor.\u201d<\/p>\n
