Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Bandits, on Wednesday, allegedly abducted an unspecified number of traders travelling to Kano from Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.<\/p>\n

The highway between Brinin Gwari and Kaduna at Unguwar Yako forest was blocked by bandits where they abducted the traders.<\/p>\n

ASP Mohammed Jalige, the spokesman of Kaduna State Police Command could not respond to phone calls put to him to confirm the incident.<\/p>\n

However, a source who sought anonymity, hinted that the victims were likely on a business trip from Birnin Gwari to Kano when they were kidnapped by the bandits.<\/p>\n

According to him, \u201cWe spotted four empty vehicles and they said an unspecified number of people moving from Birnin-Gwari axis to Kano have been kidnapped.\u201d<\/p>\n

DAILY POST recalls that Brinin Gwari axis, over the years, has been a hot spot for bandits and criminal elements.<\/p>\n
