Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Senate on Tuesday constituted a committee on the proposed upgrade of the College of Agriculture, Kabba in Kogi West Senatorial District.<\/p>\n

Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege who presided over Tuesday\u2019s plenary in the absence of President, Dr Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan announced the composition.<\/p>\n

The Committee is detailed to work out modalities of the upgrade of the College of Agriculture A.B.U Campus, Kabba, to a Federal University of Agriculture, Kabba.<\/p>\n

The conference committee is chaired by Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi (Niger State).<\/p>\n

Other members include Senators Chukwuka Utazi (Enugu), Patrick Akinyelure (Ondo), Eyakenyi Akon Etim (Akwa-Ibom), Abdu Kwari Suleiman (Kaduna) and Sahabi Ya\u2019u (Zamfara).<\/p>\n

In line with legislative procedure, the Committee is expected to meet with another committee in the lower legislative chamber to harmonize positions on the College\u2019s establishment bill and turn in their final report in four weeks.<\/p>\n
