Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Gombe, Jamil Gwamna, has resigned from the party.<\/p>\n

The Sardaunan Gombe is Managing Director\/Chief Executive Officer of Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO).<\/p>\n

His resignation letter dated February 1, 2022 was addressed to the APC chairman in Jekadafari Ward.<\/p>\n

Gwamna explained that he took the decision to leave after a series of consultations.<\/p>\n

\u201cI write, with all sense of humility and respect, to notify you of my decision to resign from the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).<\/p>\n

\u201cI took the decision after wide consultations with my family, political associates, and my supporters.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gwamna thanked the APC for the support, privileges he enjoyed, and wished the platform well.<\/p>\n

The KEDCO chief was one of Gombe PDP governorship aspirants during the 2019 political season.<\/p>\n

Observers believe Gwamna is returning to the party to seek its 2023 ticket.<\/p>\n
