Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Oyo State Government said it has suspended a Secondary school student, Roqeeb Ojo over an alleged assault on a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member.<\/p>\n

Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Barrister Rahman Abiodun Abdu- Raheem made this disclosure on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

He said the student is a SSS 2 student of Anglican Commercial Secondary School, Orita-Mefa Ibadan.<\/p>\n

The Commissioner said that the \u201cstudent slapped the corp member resulting in the immediate issuance of one-month suspension to the student.<\/p>\n

The Commissioner, who visited the school also ordered that a letter of suspension be given to the parents of the student.<\/p>\n

He directed that on his return from suspension, the student, must apologize to the corp member and sign an undertaking.<\/p>\n

The Commissioner while addressing the students charged them to be of good behaviour, maintaining that the state government will not condone any act of indiscipline.<\/p>\n

He sternly warned that any student caught, acting in an uncivilized manner, will be dismissed from schools in Oyo State.<\/p>\n
