Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Niger State Police Command and the Nigeria Immigration Service have pledged to join forces in tackling the incessant insecurity in the state.<\/p>\n

The two organizations agreed on the partnership during a familiarization visit by the newly posted Comptroller of Immigration Service to the State, Compt. Samuel S. Nongo to the State Commissioner of Police, CP, Monday Bala Kuryas.<\/p>\n

The CP explained that they have exchanged ideas on areas of synergy in tackling crime and criminality in the state.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have familiarized with each other, and discussed areas of synergy in tackling crime and criminality in the State. We also talked about the present status of the security committee,\u201d Kuryas stated.<\/p>\n

Earlier, his address, Comptroller Nongo said the essence of his visit was to ensure sustainability and solidify the inter-agency cooperation and collaboration that has been existing between the two agencies<\/p>\n

Responding, the CP promised the continued support and necessary assistance of the Command, adding that his doors are wide open at all times.<\/p>\n

It would be recalled that Niger State has in recent times been under serious attacks from bandits, Boko Haram and recently the ISWAP terrorist group.<\/p>\n
