Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Coalition of Southern and Middle Belt Youth Leaders Assembly, COSMBYLA, has tackled President Muhammadu Buhari\u2019s government over the current fuel scarcity ravaging many parts of Nigeria.<\/p>\n

COSMBYLA, an umbrella body of all the youth groups in the South East, South-South, South West, and Middle Belt regions said the current economic reality, fuel scarcity and insecurity ravaging the entire nation is a \u201cconfirmation that the president lacks the mental capacity and ability to govern Nigeria\u201d.<\/p>\n

DAILY POST reports that about a month ago, queues resurfaced in some parts of the country as fuel scarcity relatively shut down economic activities in the affected cities with some fuel stations locked while the black marketers sold as high as N1,000 per litre in Abuja.<\/p>\n

Reacting to the development, the coalition said, \u201cFuel is now costlier than human blood in Nigeria, a country that has a large quantity of crude oil. What a tragedy!<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is very unfortunate to remember that President Buhari has been contesting for the office of the Presidency since 2003 just to put the country in a serious economic hardship with broad daylight killings by Fulani herdsmen, nepotism, corruption and now, fuel scarcity.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat we see today in Nigeria is a direct opposite of what Nigerians expect from their elected President. The suffering in the land is really alarming that even a man born blind from his mother\u2019s womb can see, feel the level of hardship imposed on Nigerians.<\/p>\n

\u201cMajor supporters of the President have all entered the hall of regrets and lamentation regarding their blatant mistake in 2015 where they promoted a man that has nothing to offer Nigerians.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur currency is now a mere tissue paper in the presence of other currencies of the world. Foreign investors and International businessmen and women have abandoned the country.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a statement by its President-General, Goodluck Egwu Ibem, the coalition called on youths to rise up and do the needful by working towards salvaging the country from collapse, saying, \u201cwe have no other country to call our own\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cSitting in our various houses to complain or lament will not take us anywhere but put us as a country into more misery, hardship and misfortune. The time to salvage our country is now and we must do it immediately without delay\u201d.<\/p>\n
