Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Former Kano State Governor, Ibrahim Shekarau, has stated that political platforms in Nigeria are the same.<\/p>\n

The Senator spoke in Sokoto on Sunday at an empowerment programme organized by Rep. Balarabe Salame (APC \u2013 Gwadabawa\/Illela).<\/p>\n

He said parties have good people who have good intentions and bad people with selfish interests, NAN reports.<\/p>\n

Shekarau urged Nigerians to always elect those with \u201cclean intentions\u201d to ensure \u201ccollective development\u201d.<\/p>\n

The stalwart declared his admiration that a PDP governor (Aminu Tambuwal) honoured the invitation of an opposition member.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe two political parties\u2019 chairmen and supporters are in attendance, this is highly commendable.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need to always keep in mind that God will judge us on our decision of choice of politicians to whom we give our mandate\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

The lawmaker hailed Sokoto\u2019s political architecture and recommended it to other parts of the country.<\/p>\n
