Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Hussaini has ordered a full-scale investigation over the razing of the country home of the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Prof George Obiozor, at Awo-Omanma in the Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State.<\/p>\n

The Command\u2019s Public Relations Officer, Micheal Abattam who confirmed the incident to DAILY POST on phone said the incident is under serious investigation.<\/p>\n

He said, the Command received the news of the unfortunate incident and that the Imo State Police Commissioner, CP has ordered a full-scale investigation on it and we are on their trail.<\/p>\n

The police spokesman assured that the police would fish out those who carried out the arson.<\/p>\n

DAILY POST gathered that the attack took place at about 12.30 am on Saturday morning, after the gunmen chased away a security guard on duty in the compound.<\/p>\n

A community source who pleaded anonymity said before now the entire Ubachima community in Awo- Omanma has been on the run.<\/p>\n

The source who accused members of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) of the attack said all top politicians in support of Gov Hope Uzodinma\u2019s government no longer visit home.<\/p>\n

He said unknown gunmen razed down our brother\u2019s house around 12:30 am.<\/p>\n

The community source said \u201dto God be the glory no life was lost even the security guard on duty was chased away before the operation.<\/p>\n

However, all efforts made to reach Prof Obiozor on phone proved abortive as he did not respond to calls and messages seeking clarification over the incident.<\/p>\n
