Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>President Muhammadu Buhari has issued another warning to All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders.<\/p>\n

The party\u2019s national convention will be held on Saturday at Eagle Square in Abuja.<\/p>\n

In a statement on Friday, the President cautioned the APC not to do anything \u201cthat will jeopardize the chances of the party in the 2023 General Elections\u201d.<\/p>\n

Buhari reminded chieftains of the limited time frame of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) timetable.<\/p>\n

He noted that the guidelines released by the electoral umpire \u201cdoes not permit us any room for delay or further squabbling\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Nigerian leader told the party to \u201cconsistently keep their eyes on the ball and refuse any distraction\u201d<\/p>\n

He said all have an obligation to conduct the convention \u201cin a manner that not only fortifies the unity of our party but also improves the prospects of our electoral fortunes in the 2023 general elections\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe should all do our part to ensure the success of this convention. This will fortify us for the campaigns ahead of us\u201d, the statement added.<\/p>\n

The warning came two weeks after the President directed stalwarts to stop the name-calling, backstabbing and infighting over the convention.<\/p>\n
