Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Ali Ndume, a Borno South Senator, has said he was one of those who asked the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, to run for the Presidency in 2023.<\/p>\n

Ndume said Amaechi \u201chas the pedigree, energy and intellect\u201d needed to rule Nigeria. The Chairman Senate Committee on Army, spoke on Channels Television\u2019s Politics Today, while declaring his support for Amaechi\u2019s Presidential ambition.<\/p>\n

Asked if he supports Amaechi\u2019s Presidential ambition, Ndume said: \u201cYes, that is my project. \u201cI started it, I am one of those who had asked Amaechi to run.\u201d Ndume believes Amaechi will be a great candidate for the Presidency. The minister recently declared his intention to run for the Presidency in 2023.<\/p>\n

The former Governor of Rivers State had disclosed his intention while addressing leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at an event in Port Harcourt.<\/p>\n
