Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Taraba state chapter has again expressed regrets at the recent bomb blast in Jalingo, the state capital.<\/p>\n

Making their position known in a press statement issued on Sunday, the association said there is a need for people to come together to say no to bloodthirsty terrorists.<\/p>\n

CAN Chairman, Rev (Dr) Isaiah Magaji Jirapye, who signed the statement expressed dismay that the explosion came a few days after the Islamic State\u2019s West Africa (ISWAP), claimed responsibility for the Iware blast that gulped several lives, and left other persons with injuries.<\/p>\n

\u201dThe Jalingo explosion which left some people injured is evidence of the presence of bad elements and terrorists in the state, it is satanic for anyone to carry a bomb or explosive device and detonate it among people to kill,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n

Arguing that \u201clife is sacred and belongs to God, he said Tarabans must arise to see that the peace the state is enjoying is sustained.<\/p>\n

He also tasked the state government to initiate measures aimed at identifying and flushing out the elements and their cohorts who according to them have set up camps across the state.<\/p>\n

He urged Tarabans to never be afraid but be strong as God will definitely grant them victory over the challenges.<\/p>\n
