Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>A 15-year-old girl in Adamawa State has confessed to beating an 85-year-old woman to death.<\/p>\n

The girl, Happy David, allegedly armed herself with a stick, stormed the residence of the woman and beat her up on accusation of witchcraft.<\/p>\n

It was gathered on Monday that this happened earlier this month, April 8.<\/p>\n

The girl allegedly claimed that the old woman, Gama Jatau of Tambo community in Girei Local Government Area, bewitched her and caused her sickness on several occasions.<\/p>\n

The girl who lives in the same neighbourhood as the aged woman said she chose the act to teach the woman a lesson.<\/p>\n

The victim was rushed to hospital in Jabbi Lamba in the Girei LGA where she was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n

The girl has now been arraigned before a Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Yola, which ordered that she be remanded.<\/p>\n

This was after she admitted to beating the deceased to death.<\/p>\n

The accused was arraigned on a charge of murder before Chief Magistrate Abdullahi Muhammed Digil, to whom she pleaded guilty.<\/p>\n

After the guilt plea, the prosecutor applied for the adjournment of the matter, and the court adjourned it to next month, May 26.<\/p>\n
