Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The chairman, Bichi Local Government Area of Kano State, Prof. Yusuf Muhammad Sabo has been suspended for three months by the Kano Council councillors.<\/p>\n

Muhammad Tinki, the leader of the Council, alleged that the Local Government Area Chairman had not been able to discharge his constitutional duties.<\/p>\n

He explained that the suspension of the Chairman followed a unanimous decision taken by the councillors after due deliberations in a recent meeting.<\/p>\n

He stated, \u201cNow, he will serve the suspension and the committee constituted to investigate the matter will submit its report and make recommendations in due course.\u201d<\/p>\n

The suspended Chairman, when contacted for his reaction, did not respond.<\/p>\n

A text message to him was not responded to as of the time of filing this report.<\/p>\n
