Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Former Crystal Palace owner and football pundit, Simon Jordan has slammed Wayne Rooney and Jamie Vardy for not stopping their wives from battling each other in court.<\/p>\n

Jordan delivered a stinging rant about the Wagatha Christie trial, asking the two England football legends to \u2018stop funding this nonsense\u2019.<\/p>\n

Rebekah Vardy, the wife of Leicester City striker, Vardy; and Coleen Rooney, wife of Manchester United legend, Rooney, are locked in a court battle which has dominated national headlines in recent days.<\/p>\n

It started after Coleen carried out a \u2018sting operation\u2019 in 2019 and afterwards accused Rebakah of leaking \u2018false stories\u2019 about her private life to the press.<\/p>\n

However, Vardy\u2019s wife denies doing so and went ahead to sue Mrs Rooney for libel.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Mrs Rooney is defending the claim, arguing it is \u2018substantially true\u2019 and in the public interest.<\/p>\n

Jordan said he does not see any reason these former England stars should allow their wives to drag their families with a court battle.<\/p>\n

He told talkSPORT, \u201cI think what it means for their two husbands is that they should sit there for a second and say, \u2018Ladies \u2013 we\u2019re going to stop funding this nonsense, pack it in, enough now, it\u2019s embarrassing, it\u2019s unnecessary!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Jordan said the two superstars\u2019 wives must grow up, adding that there are far more pressing issues than their egos.<\/p>\n
