Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Gunmen have kidnapped Muhammad Baba Shehu, Chairman, Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State and his driver.<\/p>\n

The orderly to the chairman, Sergeant Alhassan Habibu Nasir, according to a source, was killed by the gunmen.<\/p>\n

DAILY POST learnt that the incident happened on Friday at about 6:30pm, along Gudi District of Akwanga Local Government Area when the chairman was on his way to Lafia.<\/p>\n

The source explained that, \u201cThe orderly was killed during a shoot-out with the gunmen and he died at the scene.\u201d<\/p>\n

He stated that the chairman attended the annual General Meeting (AGM) of Keffi Old Boys\u2019 Association (KOBA) at Government College Keffi and left the venue of the event for Lafia immediately after making his speech.<\/p>\n

The source disclosed that the gunmen opened fire on the official vehicle of the chairman as he approached Gudi, killing Sergeant Alhassan Habibu Nasir, his orderly and went away with the chairman and the driver.<\/p>\n

ASP Ramhan Ramhan, spokesman of Nasarawa Police Command, confirmed the incident.<\/p>\n
