Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of attempting to scuttle citizens\u2019 desire to obtain voter\u2019s card<\/p>\n

A statement at the weekend by Debo Ologunagba, the PDP National Publicity Secretary said APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu was afraid of the popularity of PDP flagbearer, Atiku Abubakar.<\/p>\n

The spokesman said the ruling party was particularly \u201cpreventing people of the South-East\u201d from collecting their Permanent Voter\u2019s Cards (PVC).<\/p>\n

He alleged that it was part of APC\u2019s \u201cdesperate design to use violence to sabotage credible elections in 2023 having realized that Nigerians have rejected Asiwaju Tinubu\u201d.<\/p>\n

The PDP said Tinubu \u201chas been in morbid fear of the soaring popularity of Atiku Abubakar\u201d and was trying to stop more Nigerians from obtaining their PVCs.<\/p>\n

Ologunagba noted that the ruling government pretends to have the support of the people but has been \u201cchasing away prospective voters\u201d.<\/p>\n

The APC, he insisted, is suffering from \u201cPre-Election Fever Syndrome\u201d in trepidation that it cannot win in a transparent process.<\/p>\n

The party recalled how vocal APC supporters, in previous elections, threatened to throw the Igbos into the Lagoon if they voted for any other platform.<\/p>\n

\u201cViolence was unleashed on Nigerians in the Isolo axis of Lagos in the 2019 general elections, where the APC, discovered that it had been rejected at the polls,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n

The PDP told Tinubu and the APC that they cannot suppress Nigerians ready to \u201ctake back their country from the stranglehold of the corrupt, incompetent, inhumane and rudderless APC\u201d.<\/p>\n

The statement cautioned the former Lagos Governor and his party to \u201cthread carefully and reign in their thugs, hoodlums and terrorists as they will be firmly resisted by Nigerians\u201d.<\/p>\n
