Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Western Nigeria Security Network Agency, Amotekun Osun has reported that four passengers had sustained injuries as the vehicle they were travelling in was attacked by gun-wielding men.<\/p>\n

According to sources, the incident occurred along the Old Ila-Orangun\/Ijabe road, when the vehicle was ambushed by gunmen who shot sporadically into the air.<\/p>\n

According to the source, as the attack was being perpetrated, a passerby informed men of Osun Amotekun, which prompted them to swing into action.<\/p>\n

\u201dThey attacked and injured four of the passengers in the early hours of Sunday but the men of Amotekun arrived at the scene after they got information about the attack.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey engaged the gunmen and one of them was arrested but four of the passengers had already sustained injuries,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Confirming the attack, Amitolu Shittu, the Osun Amotekun Field Commander stated that one of the gunmen had been apprehended.<\/p>\n

He also added that the four passengers who were injured during the attack were currently receiving medical treatment.<\/p>\n
