We are number nine and Iran is number eight, everywhere I go, people keep asking me what is happening to Christians and Muslims in Nigeria. Toxic politics has now poisoned our religion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He explained that though he is not a Veterinarian but was told that when a dog is barking, you walk towards it because if you turn back, it would attack, advising that Christians must walk towards the barking dog.<\/p>\n<p>Bishop Kukah noted that for the past three weeks his Priest, a young man and a sister have been in captivity, stressing that the Nigerian state wants to pretend that negotiations with kidnappers don\u2019t happen but in reality it does.<\/p>\n<p>He said his people were negotiating with the kidnappers as there is no other way to retrieve his Priest and sister and that at the last conversation, the kidnappers have agreed to release the victims if N20 million is paid but he does not have such monies anywhere.<\/p>\n<p>He said it was a very painful experience that his own blood relations have been kidnapped, lost a Priest last year to kidnappers, lost a seminarian to kidnappers and somehow Nigerians like to pretend they have a government.<\/p>\n<p>He said the kidnappers think it\u2019s a chicken fee, lamenting that he is supposed to pay money to people who are murderers, who would murder anybody, and buying aeroplanes to kill people, referring to the Southern Kaduna attack last week,<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was supposed to pay money to people who are prepared to destroy our country and there seems to be no sign to end this madness,\u201d he lamented.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\">Nigeria<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria.
