Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Chelsea target, Ousmane Dembele has been left underwhelmed by the Blues\u2019 contract proposal and could reconsider the offer on the table from Barcelona, according to reports.<\/p>\n

Dembele is out of contract with Barcelona at the end of the month.<\/p>\n

The France World Cup winner has been linked with Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.<\/p>\n

Ideally, Barcelona would like to keep Dembele at Camp Nou and the player\u2019s preference is to extend his contract, but in a meeting last week Barca manager Xavi reiterated that the club would not be upping its offer.<\/p>\n

That salary proposal \u2013 which is less than what he currently earns \u2013 has been on the table since last December, but the winger and his representatives feel they can get a better deal elsewhere.<\/p>\n

However, Chelsea have now submitted their contract offer to Dembele and, according to Sport, it is considerably less than what Dembele was expecting.<\/p>\n

Dembele and his team are said to be \u2018disappointed\u2019 with the financial terms and there is a feeling that the West London club\u2019s pursuit of Manchester City\u2019s Raheem Sterling has resulted in a reduced offer for the 25-year-old.<\/p>\n

Chelsea are simultaneously pursuing a deal for Sterling, who could be available for around \u00a350million.<\/p>\n

But Sterling is on enormous wages and that has meant Chelsea have not been able to make as lucrative an offer for Dembele as he had been hoping for \u2013 though it is still more than Barcelona are prepared to pay him.<\/p>\n
