Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Unknown gunmen on Monday, reportedly invaded Nduegu Achi community in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State and killed one person.<\/p>\n

It was gathered that the attackers equally set ablaze several houses and abducted others to an unknown destination.<\/p>\n

DAILY POST learnt that the people of the area fled the community for fear of being killed by the gunmen.<\/p>\n

An eyewitness, who spoke to journalists in Abakaliki, said that the gunmen invaded the community and started shooting sporadically and in the process killed one person and abducted many others.<\/p>\n

When contacted for confirmation, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Ebonyi State Command, SP Chris Anyanwu, said the command was yet to be briefed on the incident.<\/p>\n

He promised to get details of the attack and brief newsmen on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
