The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has finally released the much-awaited timeline for the completion of the electoral process in Rivers State.<\/p>\n
INEC Commissioner in charge of Voter Education and Information, Festus Okoye, at a media briefing in Abuja, said collation and announcement of results in the Rivers governorship election will take place between 2nd and 5th of April, 2019, at a venue to be decided by stakeholders.<\/p>\n
Okoye also disclosed that supplementary elections will take place on the 13th of April in local government areas where elections could not hold.<\/p>\n
INEC will hold security meeting in Rivers State on 29th March and also meet with critical stakeholders on the 30th of March.<\/p>\n
Festus Okoye further said Certificates of Return will be issued to successful candidates on 19th of April.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
