Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Nnamdi Innocent and Blessing Oborodudu have been named captains of Team Nigeria ahead of the opening ceremony of the 2022 Commonwealth Games holding in Birmingham.<\/p>\n

Innocent is one of the leading men\u2019s powerlifters in the team.<\/p>\n

Popular women\u2019s wrestler, Oborodudu was a Gold medalist at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.<\/p>\n

She also won a Silver medal at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.<\/p>\n

The flagbearers for Team Nigeria at opening ceremony are: Nnamdi Chinecherem Prosper and veteran women powerlifter, Oluwafemiayo Folashade.<\/p>\n

The opening ceremony of the 2022 Commonwealth Games will hold at Alexander Stadium, Birmingham, United Kingdom on Thursday (today).<\/p>\n
