Alfred Schreuder\u2019s side will battle rivals PSV Eindhoven for the Johan Cruyff Shield<\/p>\n

The Johan Cruyff Shield usually ushers in the new season in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n

Bassey recently linked up with the Eredivisie champions from Scottish Premiership giants, Glasgow Rangers.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old has been cleared for the game after his work permit came through on Friday.<\/p>\n

The Nigerian international is yet to make an appearance for Ajax due to a delay in the issuance of his paperwork.<\/p>\n

Bassey won the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup titles during his two-year stint with Rangers.<\/p>\n
