Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Yatso Youths Association has condemned the killing of the traditional ruler of Yukuben chiefdom in Takum Local Government Council of Taraba by suspected militias.<\/p>\n

The Achilok of Yukuben chiefdom, Udeng Ibrahim Yamusa and his son, Musa Ibrahim, were killed last week by yet-to-be-identified gunmen in Takum.<\/p>\n

Piqued by the development, the group, in a press statement on Sunday made available to DAILY POST, vowed to work round the clock in collaboration with stakeholders and security operatives to fish out the killers of the monarch and his son.<\/p>\n

Signed by the association\u2019s National Publicity Secretary, Saint Ira Atisinde, the group said they were \u201csaddened by this cruel, barbaric and inhumane act that occurred on the evening of Wednesday along Kpambo \u2013 Fikyu road.\u201d<\/p>\n

They vowed to work tirelessly in collaboration with relevant stakeholders and security agencies to \u201cthoroughly investigate and unravel those behind this dastardly act of cowardice for appropriate action to be taken on them no matter how highly or lowly placed they are in the society.\u201d<\/p>\n

The association lamented that it had lost a peace loving royal father \u201cwho died on the cause of fighting assiduously for the return of lasting peace to our dear land.\u201d<\/p>\n

Affirming that \u201cthis indefatigable effort will not go in vain\u201d, they said the government should as well leave no stone unturned in order to put an end to the unabated killings and destruction of properties in the southern part of the State.<\/p>\n

The late monarch, together with his son, were killed in an ambush by bandits while returning from a peace meeting in the administrative headquarters of Takum council.<\/p>\n
