Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel has admitted that his team is not ready ahead of their Premier League opener against Everton next Saturday.<\/p>\n

Chelsea will face Everton in an away Premier League tie at Goodison Park on August 6.<\/p>\n

Tuchel\u2019s men concluded their pre-season on Friday after beating Udinese 3-1.<\/p>\n

However, ahead of their first Premier League tie this season against Frank Lampard\u2019s side, Tuchel admitted that Chelsea are unprepared and needs to improve before the clash.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a pretty long pre-season,\u201d Tuchel was quoted by Daily Mail as saying.<\/p>\n

\u201cTiring and exhausting to be in the US for so long, and having to travel again today under the circumstances is not so easy, pretty demanding.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter this weekend, we prepare for nothing else other than Everton. The season is right in front of the door. There is a lot of positive stuff, but we need to improve.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are not ready yet. We don\u2019t have to be ready yet. We have another week and then it is time to be on the best level. It is always nice when the season arrives.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will have this week. There is still some way to go.\u201d<\/p>\n
