Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Former Brazil forward, Rivaldo has criticised Dani Alves\u2019 decision to leave the La Liga for Liga MX.<\/p>\n

The veteran defender left Barcelona as a free agent this summer and joined the Mexican side, UNAM.<\/p>\n

Alves was said to have consulted Brazil national team coach Tite regularly before making the move.<\/p>\n

The former Barcelona defender and legendary figure wants to play his way into the Brazil World Cup squad for the 2022 tournament in Qatar.<\/p>\n

Rivaldo, who won the World Cup in Korea and Japan in 2002, told TUDN that the iconic defender should have chosen a league where the national team coach can easily assess his performance.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know if it was the best decision to choose Pumas, because he could play in a country where the coach, Tite, sees him more, but I think he has a lot of confidence in Dani Alves because of his experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is the player who has the most titles and I think that if he goes to the World Cup, then he will play very well, even if he is a little bit older,\u201d the Brazilian legend said.<\/p>\n
