Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has accused Governor Abdullahi Ganduje\u2019s administration of debasing the Kano State civil service.<\/p>\n

The state chairman, Umar Doguwa issued a statement at the weekend in reaction to Kano government\u2019s online recruitment.<\/p>\n

Doguwa called it \u201cpropaganda\u201d with the aim of \u201cgrabbing information\u201d on the permanent voter cards (PVC) of youths seeking jobs.<\/p>\n

The chieftain noted that recruitments are done by the office of the head of civil service and not by a committee.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe claim for recruitment is suspicious, we believe the government wants to capture sensitive information on the PVCs of the prospective applicants\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

The NNPC accused Ganduje\u2019s administration of corruption, job racketeering, delay of salaries and rampant deductions in the monthly payment of civil servants and pensioners.<\/p>\n

The party said while there are concerns about Kano\u2019s full implementation of the N30,000 minimum wage and promises to civil servants, the government is planning to take in more hands.<\/p>\n

The statement further lamented that the administration only paid students\u2019 scholarships \u201conce since its inception in 2015 \u2013 at the eve of 2019 general elections\u201d.<\/p>\n

Doguwa informed stakeholders, including the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), that the NNPP \u201cwill not condone inconclusive election or any form of electoral malpractice in 2023\u201d.<\/p>\n
