Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Nkeiruka Onyejiocha, a member of the House of Representatives and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress from Abia State has queried those against the choice of former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the presidential candidate of the party in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.<\/p>\n

Onyejiocha who currently represents the Isuikwuato\/Umunneochi federal constituency of Abia State at the national assembly bared her minds on the criticisms trialling Bola Tinubu\u2019s emergence as the presidential standard-bearer of the governing party in Nigeria.<\/p>\n

She insisted that Nigeria cannot afford to go backwards and that the APC represents progress and a brighter future.<\/p>\n

She, however, admitted that Nigeria is facing some challenges, positing that there\u2019s no challenge-free country anywhere in the world.<\/p>\n

The federal lawmaker said, \u201cthere\u2019s no challenge free nation anywhere in the world. Nigeria is part of the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is true that we are facing some challenges, but the present government is working hard to ensure we overcome our challenges as a nation.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur party APC needs the support of Nigerians across the states because we are better than the rest.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a presidential candidate who is a nationalist, a builder of men and women, an achiever.<\/p>\n

She submitted, \u201cTinubu\u2019s emergence is the best thing that happened to APC.<\/p>\n

\u201cA man with no record of discrimination against gender, tribe, and religion<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy not Tinubu ? A man whose good deeds are already speaking for him\u201d.<\/p>\n

On Isuikwuato\/Umunneochi Federal Constituency seat 2023 race, Onyejeocha, who doubles as Chief Whip of the House, reiterated that she\u2019s working hard with her constituents for greater representation.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy constituents are my topmost priority. I am a village woman. I know my people.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey also know me and they love me. I believe my people are with me.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is my desire to do more good and I will always try my best.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to be remembered for making a positive impact in my constituency.<\/p>\n

\u201c2023 is about the progress of Nigeria. It is about our people and our nationhood\u201d.<\/p>\n
