Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command has arrested an ex-convict, Yekini Opeyemi.<\/p>\n

Opeyemi, working as a guard at Ojota New Garage, was nabbed for being in possession of two stolen 2.8KVA generators.<\/p>\n

The 35-year-old suspect was apprehended near Odo-Iya Alaro at Ojota in company of others (now at large).<\/p>\n

He was trying to load one Firman and one Tigmax generator, both 2.8 KVA, into a Volkswagen Golf car.<\/p>\n

The driver on sighting police operatives sped off, leaving Opeyemi behind.<\/p>\n

Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin said Opeyemi arrived in Lagos last week and got a job at Ojota.<\/p>\n

The security agency found out that the suspect has been imprisoned on four different occasions over separate incidents.<\/p>\n

Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Panti, Yaba, for further investigation and prosecution.<\/p>\n
