Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Comrade Timi Frank Saturday called on leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to collaborate with the newly named Presidential Campaign Council of Atiku Abubakar to ensure victory.<\/p>\n

Frank, who is the former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in a statement made available to DAILY POST commended the former Vice President for nominating tested characters as members of the campaign council.<\/p>\n

He expressed the belief that the Chairman and Director General of the Council, Governor Udom Emmanuel and Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal would deliver on the mandate, given their requisite capacities.<\/p>\n

He recalled how Udom Emmanuel did well in the banking industry before he veered into politics, while Aminu Tambuwal, a lawyer before joining politics did well in their various political roles before both ascended to governorship of their various States.<\/p>\n

Frank said the only obstacle to the PDP winning elections is the crisis rocking the party while appealing to all aggrieved members of the party to forgive all offences and work for the success of the party in the 2023 general election.<\/p>\n

According to him, it is obvious that only the PDP can salvage the dwindling economic fortunes of the country following the lack of focus and strategic thinking by the APC\u2019s administration.<\/p>\n

Frank who is the United Liberation Movement for West Papau (ULMWP) Ambassador to East Africa and the Middle East insisted that Nigerians are looking to the PDP to deliver them from misrule, corruption and bad leadership engendered by the APC, saying, \u201cPDP cannot afford to fail.\u201d<\/p>\n

He stressed that the PDP was on the path to getting things right by selecting leaders that have the political gravitas and reach, hence, the party would be helped to victory in 2023, while he admonished the presidential campaign council to be issue-based in their outings.<\/p>\n

Frank said: \u201cThis is the time to put personal interest aside and work collectively for the success of the PDP at the polls. Even though there were many contestants during the party primary, only one candidate can emerge.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow that we have our Presidential Governorship, Senate, House of Representatives and Houses of Assembly candidates, the PDP must work as a united and cohesive entity necessary to win at the polls.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe hope of Nigerians to return the PDP to the saddle of governance in 2023 must not be dashed on the altar of personal animosity. PDP is one. PDP can only win if it remains united. History beckons!\u201d<\/p>\n
