Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Jigawa State Police Command on Tuesday, confirmed the clash between two factions of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Dutse, which led to four people being injured while cars were damaged beyond repair.<\/p>\n

DSP Lawal Shi\u2019isu Adam, Public Relations Officer (PPRO), of the Command who confirmed this in a statement on Tuesday, said the police in the Dutse division had quickly intervened in the crisis that erupted between a group of a pollical party during a rally in the capital.<\/p>\n

He said the command received a report which indicated that a political group under the aegis of Danmodi Youths Concerned (DYC) organized a rally in support of one of the governorship candidates, adding that while they gathered at Investment area of Dutse metropolis, with a plan to visit orphanage centre and go round the city, there was a misunderstanding between two factions leading to exchange of blows and subsequently damaging of vehicles.<\/p>\n

According to him, the police quickly intervened and dispersed them to maintain peace, adding that one of the party Chieftain has been declared wanted by the police.<\/p>\n
