The 2019 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, on Friday, said the governor-elect of Adamawa State, Mr. Ahmadu Fintiri was a man, who appreciates the diversity of the people of the state.<\/p>\n
He said this in light of the declaration of the PDP governorship candidate, Fintiri, as the winner of the governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission.<\/p>\n
Atiku, in a statement by his Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, stated that he is particularly delighted that the PDP was victorious in the governorship election in his home state.<\/p>\n
He added that the decision of the majority of Adamawa residents to vote for the PDP signified that the party was truly a party of the people.<\/p>\n
He said,\u00a0 \u201cMy home state of Adamawa has chosen the PDP to lead them. I am truly proud of this and let me assure you that you have chosen a leader with the zeal and determination to put Adamawa on the best path.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou have chosen a leader who appreciates Adamawa\u2019s diversity and who will run an inclusive government for the betterment of all.\u201d<\/p>\n
The former vice president congratulated Fintiri for his success at the polls in spite of what Atiku called, the various antics of the ruling party to frustrate the wishes of the people in the state.<\/p>\n
He said,\u00a0 \u201cOur people have stood with Governor-Elect Fintiri in the course of this election with an abiding commitment never to allow the power that be to rob them of their votes.<\/p>\n
\u201cI congratulate you on your election, while I also hail our people for making the right decision to choose you as leader at this point in time. I am confident that the hope reposed in you is well placed and that your tenure will launch our state to greater heights.\u201d<\/p>\n
