Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Gunmen suspected to be bandits on Monday night attacked Nyalun community in the Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State and killed the village head, Salisu Idris.<\/p>\n

The suspected bandits also gunned down two other residents of the community.<\/p>\n

While confirming the incident, the Plateau State Police Command, PPRO, DSP Alabo Alfred, said three people were killed in the incident, adding that details of the incident was sketchy.<\/p>\n

\u201cThree people where killed in the incident at Nyalun community of Wase LGA, but we don\u2019t have the full details of what actually happened for now\u201d, he explained.<\/p>\n

According to residents of Nyalun, the victims were killed when the suspected bandits arrived the community on motorcycles and started shooting sporadically to scare residents.<\/p>\n

The attackers, who invaded the village around 8 pm, also abducted five members of the community, including two mothers.<\/p>\n

Also speaking, a youth leader in Wase LGA, Mallam Sambo, said that the gunmen also made away with a good number of motorcycles belonging to the people of the community.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe attackers came in their numbers and started shooting sporadically.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey went straight to the traditional ruler\u2019s house, killed him and abducted five members of his family. The also killed two other people\u201d, he explained..<\/p>\n
