Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Supporters of the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, have accused the Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, of playing bitter politics.<\/p>\n

The supporters said el-Rufai had displayed intolerance by lying against Obi, claiming that he was put on house arrest by in 2013 when he visited Anambra for election duty.<\/p>\n

The group, in a press conference addressed by its leaders, Barrister Tony Chukwuelue, Mike Okaka, Johnny Obika, and Shehu Alhassan, called on President Muhammadu Buhari to caution him.<\/p>\n

\u201cel-Rufai has unsuccessfully tried severally to smear Obi with his numerous delusional fabrications to torpedo the OBIdient ship which is cruising to Aso Rock.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst el-Rufai denied Obi\u2019s supporters the use of public facilities for their one million man march, then his lies that he was prevented from going out of his hotel by Peter Obi in 2013.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wonder if el-Rufai knows that it is the Commissioner of Police that is responsible for issuance of arrest and detention orders and not a Governor.\u201d<\/p>\n

The group lamented that even with a video clip of el-Rufai personally acknowledging that the security operatives he had encountered were detailed from Abuja headquarters, he has continued to spread falsehood against Obi.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor those who know el-Rufai, he is one restless sadist and serial betrayer occupying political space in Nigeria.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has since betrayed Atiku Abubakar who brought him to political consciousness. A former president of Nigeria who also appointed el-Rufai into his cabinet also recorded him as a serial liar and an inconsistent person. He also wants to betray Buhari, the man who made his occupation of the Kaduna Government House possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

The group, Great Nigeria 4 Obi-Datti (GN4ObiDatti), described el-Rufai\u2019s performance in Kaduna as very abysmal, saying that he has watched over a state that is now impossible to travel by road, rail or air.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn a civilised nation, el-Rufai would have voluntarily tendered a letter of resignation of office as Governor of Kaduna State, having presided over the most unsafe state, where one cannot travel by road, by train or by air.\u201d<\/p>\n
