Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Flamingos head coach, Bankole Olowookere, has nothing but praise for his players following their defeat against Colombia at the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women\u2019s World Cup on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The Flamingos lost the semi-final encounter 6-5 on penalties and will now fight for the third position against Germany on Saturday.<\/p>\n

It was the first time the Nigerian girls would make it to the semi-final of the competition, and they could end the competition in style by beating the Germans<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ve done well, we made it to the semi-final, and our opponent were strong as well, it was a tough match, i always tell them that the more you go in the competition the harder it becomes, they are a tough opponent,\u201d Olowookere said in a short video posted on the Super Falcons Twitter handle.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven those that missed penalties are our specialists; that is the game of penalties.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey gave their all, anyone can miss penalty. They cannot be crucified, they did their best.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will give them time to rest, then we will come up as parents and talk to them, psyche them up and make them believe that all is not lost, we still have the third place to play for.\u201d<\/p>\n
