President Muhammadu Buhari, Monday met behind closed doors the outgoing Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.<\/p>\n
Okorocha arrived at the State House about 1pm and proceeded to the President\u2019s office.<\/p>\n
The Governor who contested the National Assembly election on February 23 to represent Imo West Senatorial District (Orlu zone), was declared winner of the election.<\/p>\n
But the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Returning Officer who declared him winner, later said that he did that under duress.<\/p>\n
This led to the INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, to withhold his Certificate of Return.<\/p>\n
Okorocha has also been having problem with the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), for his alleged anti-party activities during the governorship election.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
