Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has told his supporters that it is disrespectful to mention Nollywood actress and People Democratic Party\u2019s Lagos gubernatorial running mate Funke Akindele in his presence.<\/p>\n

Tinubu stated this during a campaign in Lagos on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The former Lagos State governor is backing incumbent Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of APC for re-election.<\/p>\n

At the political outing, his supporters had sung a campaign song, describing Akindele as a political \u2018ant\u2019 compared to Sanwo-Olu.<\/p>\n

\u201cWho is Funke Akindele before Sanwo-Olu of Lagos? She is an ant,\u201d the supporters sang.<\/p>\n

But Tinubu fumed: \u201cDon\u2019t even bother to mention her name in my presence. It is an insult. It is disrespectful.\u201d<\/p>\n
