Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja nullified the APC governorship primary that produced Senator Emmanuel Bwacha as the candidate for All Progressive Congress (APC) today.<\/p>\n

It would be recalled that the Federal High Court in Jalingo, Taraba State, had early sacked him as the party\u2019s governorship flagbearer for the forthcoming general election.<\/p>\n

The two courts, in their separate rulings, called on the leadership of the APC to conduct a fresh governorship primary in Taraba.<\/p>\n

Apart from ordering a fresh primary within 14 days, the candidate was also urged by the courts to desist from parading himself as the party\u2019s governorship candidate for Taraba.<\/p>\n

While the first ruling which came in Jalingo was instituted by one of the aggrieved aspirants, Chief David Sabo Kente, that of Abuja, delivered today was instituted by the senator representing Taraba Central, Yusuf A. Yusuf.<\/p>\n

The duo who argued that the party\u2019s governorship primary was not conducted in the state, wondered why the leadership of the party at the national level should go ahead and declare Bwacha as the winner of the election.<\/p>\n

Senator Emmanuel Bwacha\u2019s woes were further compounded by the Federal High Court in Jalingo in a ruling that sacked him as the senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria following the suit instituted against him by Peoples Democratic Party for ditching the party that brought him to power.<\/p>\n

The state leadership of PDP dragged him to court shortly after his defection from the party to the APC.<\/p>\n

While Bwacha, has already appealed the ruling in Jalingo, it is however not yet clear whether he will also appeal that of today which took place in Abuja.<\/p>\n

As for his sacking as the senator representing Taraba South, APC spokesman in the state and also his campaign director of media and publicity, Aaron Artimas, said plans to appeal the ruling are in the pipeline.<\/p>\n
