Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Presidential candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) Engr. Yabagi Sani has said given the enormous resources available to Nigeria, the country can easily pay workers the minimum wage of N100,000.<\/p>\n

The presidential hopeful spoke on Arise Television on Sunday morning where he lamented that Nigerians have lost close to one-quarter of their purchasing power owing to rising inflationary trends.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s very possible to pay the minimum wage of N100,000,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

If he becomes President, he further stated: \u201cI\u2019ll grow the economic sector. The shipping sector isn\u2019t keying into the oil sector. We\u2019ll not be servicing debts. Many things are not present in this government. I have the capacity. Nigeria is a country of greatness.\u201d<\/p>\n

Continuing, he said: \u201cMy administration will ensure that global ideas are brought into governance in Nigeria. Europe is in need of gas. How do we leverage the infrastructure that will enable us to deliver this gas? Without proper work, nobody will come to Nigeria.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sani equally bemoaned huge losses in resources, citing the NEITI report that claims Nigeria loses $4 billion in the oil sector a year and the moribund Ajaokuta Steel Complex which he said nothing significant is done about them. He equally identified bogus fuel subsidy claims, oil theft and corruption as avenues for fleecing Nigeria\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n

Sani, an industrial engineer by profession, maintained that if he were Nigeria\u2019s president, he will unveil strategies that would harness the potential of the Nigerian economy while ensuring accountability and good governance.<\/p>\n

He also avowed that he will instil discipline in public service, while corruption will not be condoned in any form.<\/p>\n

Said he: \u201cThere are insertions in the national budget. That shouldn\u2019t happen. Our problems here are man-made. We\u2019ll tackle them. People do things as they like. Our soldiers excel outside Nigeria which shows that our problems are man-made.<\/p>\n

\u201cDiscipline, engagement and equipment are solutions to our problems. If I give you a job and you don\u2019t do it, I\u2019ll fire you. As a Commander-in-Chief, I\u2019ll use the resources at my disposal to deal with problems.\u201d<\/p>\n
