Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has reassured residents of the safety of their lives and property.<\/p>\n

A statement on Friday by the Director of Information, Muhammad Sule, said the FCT Security Committee met on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The government assured that adequate security arrangements have been made to sustain the state of law and order.<\/p>\n

The committee said everything possible is being done to checkmate the activities of criminally minded persons.<\/p>\n

The meeting discussed kidnappings in rural areas of the territory including the Yaba axis in the Abaji Area Council.<\/p>\n

The committee noted that the security agencies have adopted proactive measures to fish out the perpetrators.<\/p>\n

The Directorate of Road Traffic Service (DRTS) gave an update on the ban on commercial motorcycles in Abuja.<\/p>\n

On November 16, 118 commercial motorcycles impounded were crushed in Durumi District.<\/p>\n

A total of 300 more impounds were also crushed at Area 1 under the bridge, totaling 418.<\/p>\n

The meeting urged the residents to cooperate with the security agencies by volunteering information about criminals.<\/p>\n
