Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Olajide Adediran (Jandor), has accused Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of closing Lagos markets for the All Progressives Congress (APC) rally for Bola Tinubu.<\/p>\n

The APC presidential campaign is underway at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere.<\/p>\n

Adediran said the Lagos government forced the traders in major markets to attend the event.<\/p>\n

A statement by his campaign spokesperson, Gbenga Ogunleye, noted that the leaders complained about a directive not to open today.<\/p>\n

The Lagos State Parks and Garages Management Committee, led by Musiliu Akinsanya a.k.a. MC Oluomo, allegedly threatened to punish traders who flout the order.<\/p>\n

Jandor called the alleged action of the state government as \u201cinsensitive, callous, barbaric, and criminal.\u201d<\/p>\n

The flagbearer said the traders are free citizens whose right to do business is protected by the constitution.<\/p>\n

\u201cAny act to intimidate or threaten them to attend a programme against their wish is criminal and inhuman\u201d, the statement reads.<\/p>\n

It warned the authorities to stop inflicting pains on people trying to survive the harsh economy \u201cthe APC at the federal and state levels have plucked the nation into\u201d.<\/p>\n

Jandor advised Lagos residents to keep hope alive as they \u201cendure the remaining days of the inept APC-led administration\u201d.<\/p>\n
