Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Manchester United legend, Gary Neville has said that forward, Cristiano Ronaldo will be looking to join a \u2018top\u2019 European Champions League club after his contract at the Red Devils was terminated by mutual consent.<\/p>\n

According to Neville, Ronaldo will sign a five-month deal with the top European club before potentially considering the more lucrative offers from the Middle East or America.<\/p>\n

The former defender added that the Portugal captain would score 20 goals for the club before the end of the current season, adding that he and Man United made the right decision to part ways.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think Cristiano Ronaldo is going to be looking for a top club on a four-month or five-month contract where he can go in and do a brilliant cameo role at the very elite of European football,\u201d Neville told Sky Sports.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat is what I think his priority would be \u2013 to stay in the Champions League, to stay at the very top and prove that what happened at Manchester United was not right.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he\u2019s got four or five great months in him somewhere where he will go in and score 15 or 20 goals in that period. Everybody in Manchester will say \u201cwhy didn\u2019t we keep him?\u201d and people in the Premier League will as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut he has that in him and I would say that would be his priority. I think he will get to the end of the season and then think about the next two years and what his last football project might look like. Is it in the US? Is it in the Middle East? Is it somewhere else in Europe where he has not played before?<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope he does really well wherever he goes. I didn\u2019t work out in Manchester in the end, but it was the right thing for the club to do in breaking ties and it was the right thing for Cristiano to do.\u201d<\/p>\n
