Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The opening ceremony of the 21st National Sports Festival will hold today at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, Delta State.<\/p>\n

All 36 States and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) are expected to be part of the National Sports Festival.<\/p>\n

The festival is expected to produce new budding talents that will fly the nation\u2019s flag higher at the global level.<\/p>\n

Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa received the torch of unity from Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare on Tuesday in Asaba.<\/p>\n

The torch of unity had previously toured the entire 36 states including Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.<\/p>\n

The torch commenced its movement after it was flagged off by President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.<\/p>\n

Delta State won the last edition of the festival hosted by Edo State in 2021 for the sixth time in a row.<\/p>\n

Team Delta topped the medals table after winning 158 gold, 116 silver, and 110 bronze.<\/p>\n
