Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Accord Party (AP) presidential flagbearer, Professor Christopher Imumolen has again urged Nigerians to endorse his candidature to demonstrate that they want a break from the ugly past of rudderless leadership.<\/p>\n

The youngest candidate believes the best way the people can point the way to a better future is for them to reject the old order and support a younger man with fresher ideas for a new era of all-round development.<\/p>\n

Speaking to reporters after a rally, he said shunning the old breed of leaders, who have had nothing to offer despite decades of being at the helm, would revamp the nation.<\/p>\n

\u201cNigerians have almost cried themselves hoarse for good leadership for so long now, without any respite,\u201d Imumolen told newsmen.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor so long, we have had leaders who cared more about themselves not the people; self-serving leaders who would rather line their pockets with the country\u2019s common wealth, than work towards the collective good.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have had leaders who recycle themselves to such extent that the same leaders we knew while growing up are still struggling to remain relevant, even when it is obvious that they have passed their prime.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut thank God that people like us have been given the grace to offer ourselves to Nigerians as ones better prepared to lead this country to the next level.<\/p>\n

\u201cNigerians should carefully consider the options before them and choose those they know have the capacity and wherewithal to lead them out of this quagmire.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am well prepared to lead. In private capacity, I have been positively affecting lives and bringing succour to the depressed and underprivileged through self-sponsored initiatives, schemes and programmes that put smiles to millions of faces.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am in no doubt that I will do more if given the chance to be president of this great country,\u201d Imumolen added.<\/p>\n
